Mobile app

The Expo-based mobile app, planned but not yet in the monorepo.

Not yet built

The mobile app is on the roadmap but not yet present in apps/. This page documents the plan.

Goals

  • 100% free to build and ship (no EAS, no paid services beyond store fees)
  • Reuse @routess/core, @routess/api-client, @routess/i18n, @routess/design-tokens
  • Mapbox via @rnmapbox/maps
  • Self-hosted CI for APK and IPA builds

Phases

  1. Foundation: Expo app + monorepo wiring + local builds
  2. Self-hosted CI: GitHub Actions producing signed APKs/IPAs
  3. Design tokens: Replace defaults with @routess/design-tokens
  4. Mapbox: @rnmapbox/maps with shared style
  5. Shared logic: wire the four packages
  6. Routing features: waypoint UI, undo/redo
  7. Android release: Google Play
  8. iOS release: App Store
