Map navigation

Pan, zoom, and rotate the map.

The map toolbar with search, undo/redo, style, lock, and zoom controls

Pan

Click and drag to move around. On touch devices, drag with one finger.

Zoom

  • Scroll up to zoom in, scroll down to zoom out
  • Double-click to zoom in
  • Pinch with two fingers on touch devices
  • Use the + / - buttons in the map toolbar

Rotate & tilt

Hold Ctrl (or right-click) and drag to rotate. Hold Ctrl + Shift to tilt the map into a 3D perspective.

Recenter

Click the Center on me button in the map toolbar to recenter on your current location (the browser will ask permission the first time).

Click Search location in the map toolbar (or open it from the command palette) and type a place name or address; picking a result jumps the map there. Your recent searches show up underneath for quick reuse. Search history is stored only on your device, never on the server.
